Worship is the very heart of the Christian life - we live, individually and together, in response to the greatness, glory and overflowing generosity of a loving God.
The centre of our life together is Sunday worship. Go here for the current Sunday Worship Calendar.
We meet every Sunday morning at 10.30am The children and young people usually stay with us for the opening worship and then proceed to Sunday Club for their own teaching and worship. On the first Sunday of the month this service includes the Lord's Supper. There are people available after the service to pray with those who need it.
We gather at 6.30pm each Sunday for evening worship.
See the Young People's page for Messy Church and FROGS!
Open Doors is a charity working with Christians who are persecuted for their faith across the world (currently in over 40 countries.). They deliver Bibles and provide equipment, training and support for high-risk areas where Christians are living under restriction or persecution. Central is part of the local group praying for this work.
These take place at 6.30pm each Tuesday in the Vestry. Prayer requests can always be passed to the group via the Minister or the box available in the church vestibule.
Those who cannot be involved in the gathered worship of the church week by week because of age or infirmity are asked to pray for some part of the on-going life and work of the church on a regular basis.
Central has a fine Choir of some twenty-five members, who take part in Sunday worship and on other occasions, under the leadership of our organist and choirmaster Clive Bastin. New members are always welcome!
