Christianity is about life and growth - not least about growing in understanding the life of faith. Part of that is the preaching which goes on (and on, and on, some would say!) week in, week out. We also offer several other ways in which Christians can come together regularly and explore the faith.
Developed over 10 years, Christianity Explored is an informal course for people who'd like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him. You're not asked to pray, sing, or read aloud, and you can ask any question you like. Or, if you prefer, you can come along and simply listen.

Discipleship Explored is a journey into the book of Philippians. As they discover Paul’s extraordinary letter, participants explore for themselves the meaning of Paul’s words: “For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
DE is for anyone who wants to make the most of their Christian lives. In particular, DE is perfect for participants who have been through Christianity Explored.
The course lasts eight weeks, with each weekly session lasting about 2 hours.
Those familiar with Christianity Explored will feel right at home. Each session has a Group Discussion, a short study in Philippians, a short talk, and a further Group Discussion.

We believe that God speaks to us through the Bible, so we gather to study the scriptures (writings). These are detailed expositions of the Bible. The next series will be on Wednesday lunchtimes, 1pm - 2pm, starting on September 17th, looking at the Letter to the Hebrews.

A House Group is a gathering of 5-15 Christians in a private home, We have several groups at Central, who meet on different days at different times. This one of the best ways to get to know other people in the church family, and to share in the study of the Bible and prayer.

Walk Thru the Bible provide a one day overview of either the Old or the New Testament. Each course lasts a day - it is intense, but great fun and by the end you will have a much better grasp of "the big picture"! Cental has walked through the Old Testament and the New Testament in the last year, but I'm leaving this link in as a little free advertising for the Walk Thru team - it was terrific introduction to the Bible and well worth a try in YOUR church!
